CARL - Fom Industrie
We created the mobile app CARL for Fom Industrie — a top player in cutting and machining extruded aluminum.
CARL "Custom Augmented Reality Layout" is a powerful production and sale tool to design an automated machining line and show its 3D model in augmented reality. The software makes it also possible to create a cost estimate from the data entered during the design phase, to generate a pdf copy of it, and then send it to any email address.
Employing modern principles of UX and UI design, we realized an intuitive and flexible interface that allows you to effortlessly customize the shape and size of your production area or warehouse and then position freely within its perimeter the modules of the individual machines.
Once your project is complete, you can visualize the production line in augmented reality either as a scale or life-size model. The "scale mode" is convenient to assess the project as a whole by displaying it on a desk or table, for example. The "life-size mode" lets you gauge at a glance the actual volumes and encumbrances of the line, even in its future installment location.
