MT VR Experience
M.T. S.r.l. operates in the field of design and manufacturing of static and driven tool-holders for CNC turning centers.
Because of the size and weight of their mechanical products, it is difficult or impossible to take them to trade fairs and safely demonstrate their features to potential clients. We developed MT VR Experience with the intent of replacing the physical machine in these situations.
The virtual reality experience, developed for the HTC Vive headset, immerses the user inside a showroom where three different machines are present. The user is free to interact with the machines, assemble various elements on their tool-holders, and then watch them work. Music and sound effects accompany the user throughout the experience.
We oversaw the creation of a professional voice-over that, along with short descriptive texts of various components, guides the user during assembly and informs them of product features, company values, and mission. Once the experience starts, the user is autonomous until its end, but it is also possible to watch their actions on an external monitor.
The simplicity of controls and the naturalness of interactions, along with the built-in sense-of-presence of virtual reality, make MT VR Experience an experience for everyone.
